GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — The Green Bay School district is set to choose a new superintendent Friday.
The school board will meet in a closed session to decide between two candidates for the position.
The two finalists are Michael Hernandez of Appleton Area School District assistant superintendent and Michael Trimberger, who is the superintendent for the Random Lake School District.
The district has been searching for a new superintendent since February 2024, when Claude Tiller resigned. Vicki Bayer stepped into the interim superintendent role before she was named superintendent in December 2024. Bayer announced her retirement in October.
