EGG HARBOR, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — A fire in the fitness room of a Door County resort caused about $100,000 worth of damage.
Just before 8:30 a.m. Tuesday, firefighters were dispatched to the 4929 Landmark Drive to the Landmark Resort Pilot building for reports of smoke in the fitness room.
When crews arrived on scene, smoke was seen in the building and evacuation was in progress.
A maintenance employee said there was a fire in a light fixture and on the wall. Crews checked the attic area and around the light fixture found no extension. Ventilation of the building was conducted.
The cause is under investigation at this time and the fire is not suspicious in nature.
No injuries were reported.
All fire units cleared the area around 10 a.m.
