GREENVILLE, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Travelers moving through Appleton International Airport will be able to get a taste of the Fox Valley starting this summer.
Airport officials are announcing plans to partner with Appleton-based Copper Rock Coffee Company to create the Grain & Grind Coffee & Deli. It will replace the current restaurant in the concourse.
Menu items will include Copper Rock specialty coffees, with the restaurant offering breakfast items, sandwiches, salads and cocktails.
“We love creating a quality product that encourages our customers to slow down and relax over a great cup of coffee,” Bill Heiges, owner of Copper Rock, said in a news release. “Introducing the Copper Rock brand to travelers will be an exciting opportunity to showcase our coffees.”
“We are committed to partnering with regional businesses to give visitors the best taste of the Fox Valley,” airport director Abe Weber said in a news release. “Bringing a high quality, family-owned brand like Copper Rock to the airport enhances a unique travel experience for our passengers.”
Meanwhile, the airport is also planning to expand express marts in the terminal. North River Express will be located before security, and North River Trading Co. will be located after security on the new concourse. They are set to feature travel necessities and gift items unique to the Fox Valley and Wisconsin.
SSP America will manage the restaurant and express marts.
They are all expected to open this summer.
