(WTAQ-WLUK) — A Shawano man was sentenced Tuesday to 15 years in federal prison for sexually assaulting a toddler and then distributing videos of the abuse.
Brandon Boogren, 29, pleaded guilty to one count of production of child pornography.
In June 2025, the FBI’s Green Bay office was contacted by FBI officials from Houston, alerting them that a search of a Texas suspect’s phone had revealed child pornography videos that were created and sent by an individual in the Shawano area. The videos depicted a two-year-old child being sexually assaulted by Boogren.
According to authorities, an “online model” in Houston had asked Boogren to film and transfer these videos. In reality, the “model” was actually a man posing as a woman to “catfish” Boogren.
At his sentencing hearing, the judge called Boogren’s crimes “horrendous.”
After his 15-year sentence, Boogren will serve five years on supervised release and be required to register as a sex offender.
