MARINETTE, WI (WTAQ-WTAQ-WLUK) – The future of City Hall and the Police Department will be discussed by the City Council Wednesday, as the city reviews new information from a construction company.
Marinette has been working with The Boldt Company, which will update the council “on City Hall and the Police Department, and discuss potential City Hall locations, including renovation vs. a new Armory site facility,” according to a city social media post.
The agenda packet includes multiple sketches, and three pricing options. Those are described as “Rough Order of Magnitude” prices designed to guide decision making, but it includes a caution that many decisions on the final scope of work would impact the final price.
The three options:
- Police Department and City Hall addition at the Armory: $9 million
- Police Department and City Hall addition at the Armory, but with a smaller garage: $8.8 million
- Police Department and City Hall renovation at existing building: $10.6 million
The meeting is at noon at City Hall, 1905 Hall Avenue.
