GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — The Green Bay school district released the results of its public survey amid its superintendent search.
The school board and CESA 7 conducted a superintendent search survey from Nov. 3-14, 2025. There were 2,041 responses from staff, students, families and community members.
CESA 7 created a dashboard which summarizes the responses to the survey.
Respondents consistently identified people and community as the district’s strongest assets, including dedicated staff, diverse and welcoming school environments, strong academic programs, and positive school community culture.
Key areas needing attention include student behavior and safety, communication and transparency, staffing shortages and turnover, and academic achievement and instructional consistency.
The superintendent profile created from the survey is a transparent, visible leader committed to improving instruction, strengthening student supports, rebuilding trust, and supporting staff across the district.
The district has been searching for a new superintendent since February 2024 when Claude Tiller resigned.
Vicki Bayer stepped into the interim superintendent role before she was named superintendent in December 2024.
Bayer announced her retirement in October.
The board hopes to interview candidates in March.
