FOND DU LAC, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Convicted murderer Taylor Schabusiness has been sentenced for assaulting a staff member at Taycheedah Correctional Institution.
Judge Anthony Nehls sentenced Schabusiness to 90 days behind bars, to be served after the life sentence she is currently serving.
She pleaded guilty in October for a misdemeanor count of disorderly conduct for the incident that occurred last July.
Schabusiness is serving a life term with no chance of parole for the murder and dismemberment of Shad Thyrion in Green Bay.
During a plea hearing regarding the attack in April, Schabusiness attacked her attorney Chris Julka, who was then replaced by her current attorney, Chris Froelich. He represented Schabusiness during her murder trial in Green Bay.
According to the criminal complaint, Schabusiness, 27, needed care from a nurse after falling on a staple, which lodged in her arm. The sergeant — who is labelled “VICTIM” in the complaint — escorted her to the medical room on July 24. That’s when Schabusiness allegedly attacked her.
