ASHWAUBENON, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Green Bay’s airport is seeking guidance to enhance passenger experience.
Green Bay Austin Straubel International Airport has partnered with two firms to conduct two major strategic studies designed to guide future growth, ensure responsible development and align the airport’s plans with the evolving needs of the region.
The Terminal Master Plan Study will evaluate future terminal facility needs and passenger amenities, incorporating feedback from a diverse group of community members, business partners and airport tenants.
The goal is to identify opportunities for improvement and modernization while ensuring that expansion plans are both data-driven and financially responsible.
The community groups started this work in early fall.
At the same time, the airport has been undertaking a Land Development Plan, which aims to assess the airport’s surrounding properties and identify opportunities that best serve community and neighborhood needs. The plan focuses on aligning with potential developers to create spaces that enhance both airport operations and local economic development.
The findings from both the Terminal Master Plan and the Land Development Plan will help the airport prioritize infrastructure, maximize return on investment and continue to serve as a gateway for economic vitality across the region.
