GRAND CHUTE (WTAQ-WLUK) — A dispute between two children on a school bus ended with a fire extinguisher being discharged.
According to the Grand Chute Police Department, officers were dispatched to the 4000 block of W. Spencer Street at 3:30 p.m. Thursday.
Initial investigation determined a nine-year-old and 11-year-old were engaged in a disturbance. During the incident, a fire extinguisher was discharged inside the school bus, prompting students to evacuate the bus.
Several students were evaluated on scene by the Grand Chute Fire Department, but no significant injuries were reported and no students were taken to the hospital.
Appleton Area School District officials helped facilitate the release of students to their parents. Any disciplinary action will be determined through collaboration between the AASD and GCPD.
