TOWN OF NASEWAUPEE, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — A person was stabbed in the neck Wednesday during a “domestic incident” in Door County.
Shortly before 8 a.m., the Door County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to the area of 6698 County Road C in the town of Nasewaupee for a report of an individual bleeding heavily from the neck. When they arrived on scene, deputies and emergency medical personnel located the individual who had been stabbed and rendered immediate aid.
Authorities say the stabbing occurred as a result of a “domestic incident.” An investigation is ongoing.
“Due to the perpetrator initially remaining at large, the Integrated Public Alert and Warning System (IPAWS) was activated around the area of the incident. The alert instructed residents in the immediate vicinity to shelter in place until the situation was deemed safe,” a news release states. “The suspect involved in the incident has been identified, and there is no ongoing threat to the public.”
