APPLETON, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Martin Muniz-Lara was charged Monday with allegedly robbing a Bear Creek bank on Oct. 17.
He faces three counts, including robbery of a financial institution and theft of movable property between $5,000 and $10,000. Bond was set at $300,000 cash. He returns to court Nov. 13 for a status conference.
According to the criminal complaint, Muniz-Lara allegedly entered the Premier Community Bank, showing a gun and demanding money. He also stated he had a bomb. At one point, he climbed over the desk area to behind the counter.
After an audit, the bank determined the stolen amount was $9,305.
Muniz-Lara denied the allegations in an interview with police.
