SEYMOUR, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — A Seymour man will spend 15 years behind bars for child pornography crimes.
The investigation began in February 2024, when the Seymour Police Department was notified about “concerning files located on a cell phone.”
Authorities quickly identified the suspect as 54-year-old John Breden. He was arrested without incident the following day, with assistance from the Wisconsin State Patrol.
The Outagamie County District Attorney’s Office charged Breden with multiple counts of possession of child pornography and capturing an intimate representation. In August 2025, Breden pleaded no contest as part of a plea deal and was convicted.
He was sentenced Wednesday to 15 years in prison and 10 years of extended supervision. Breden will also be required to register as a sex offender upon his release.
