MADISON, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — It is now illegal in Wisconsin to post a nude image of someone created with artificial intelligence.
Gov. Tony Evers signed a bipartisan bill that prohibits posting, publishing, distributing or exhibiting a “synthetic intimate representation of an identifiable person with intent to harass or intimidate them” and making “a reproduction of a private representation of an individual if they did not consent to the making of the reproduction.”
The new law went into effect Friday.
