(WTAQ-WLUK) — Organizers of the NEW Pride Alive festival announced its rescheduled date and location.
The annual festival, originally set for Sept. 19 at the Brown County Fairgrounds, was postponed due to safety concerns in the “increasingly charged political climate.”
Addressing those concerns, organizers decided to look for an indoor venue to host the festival.
The NEW Pride Fest rescheduled date is Sunday, Nov. 2 at Oneida Casino Hotel. The event is for all ages.
The festival will feature entertainers, vendors and activities. Organizers are finalizing logistics and will share the full schedule and lineup in the days ahead.
This is separate from the Pop-Up Pride event at the Tarlton Theatre in Green Bay on Saturday, Oct. 4. A rally at noon at the CityDeck will kick things off. People will then walk to The Tarlton Theatre for a block party with music, performances, community resources, food trucks and more. The pop-up event will act as a fundraiser for Green Bay Pride, a two-day festival next June that has been in the works for several months.
