GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — An Oconto Falls doctor facing child pornography production charges will remain in custody while the case continues.
Isaias Cupino was originally charged in state court, with federal prosecutors adding the count of production of child pornography earlier this month.
In the federal case, Cupino allegedly took pictures and videos of a naked juvenile, according to the criminal complaint. In court Tuesday, a judge entered an order detaining Cupino. A preliminary hearing in the case has not been scheduled, according to a court official.
In state court, Cupino is charged with one count of first-degree child sexual assault, sexual exploitation of a child and possession of child pornography. If convicted on all counts, he could be sentenced to up to 68 years in prison. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Sept. 24 in Oconto County court.
