A Lamers school bus (Lamers)
NEENAH, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — No students were on board when a bus driver for the Neenah Joint School District suffered a medical incident, officials said in a statement.
According to Communications Director Jim Strick, on Wednesday afternoon, a NJSD bus driver “was treated for medical issues” in between routes. The bus was not occupied at the time of the incident, Strick said.
The driver had safely brought home all of the students on his route from Spring Road Elementary School. While driving south on Cold Spring Road toward Neenah High School, he made a radio call that he was not feeling well and pulled over.
The driver was treated by paramedics and then taken to a hospital as a precaution. Strick said a different driver completed the remaining middle and high school routes.
