HARRISON, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — A 7-year-old boy died after being rescued from a pond in Harrison.
Calumet County sheriff’s officials said Wednesday they were called to North Shore Apartments on Sonny Drive just after 4:20 p.m. Saturday for a report of an autistic boy who had been missing for a few minutes.
A deputy found the boy unresponsive in a pond on the property. EMS crews arrived on the scene shortly after to provide life-saving measures and take the boy to the hospital.
The boy later died at the hospital.
Initial investigation failed to turn up any signs of foul play. The sheriff’s office said no charges would be filed.
