GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — A unique piece of Green Bay Packers merchandise is now for sale.
In a twist on the team’s infamous cheesehead tradition, the Packers Pro Shop unveiled Monday a batch of white cheeseheads made specially for the “Winter Warning” game at Lambeau Field this week. It’s a primetime Thursday Night Football matchup between the Packers and the Washington Commanders.
Green Bay will wear its whiteout uniforms and matching white helmets. Fans are encouraged to “Unite and Wear White” to create a blizzard-like effect in the stands. Along with the white cheeseheads, there’s also a line of Winter Warning gear available in the Packers Pro Shop.
“This year, now fans can just swap out their yellow cheeseheads with white,” said Director of Retail Operations Chrysta Jorgensen. “We do want to make it special for the lead-up to the game.”
These exclusive, limited-edition cheeseheads are available on a first-come, first-served basis — and once they’re gone, they’re gone.
The cost for a white cheesehead is the same as it is for a traditional yellow cheesehead.
