KAUKAUNA, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — A 25-year-old man was booked into Outagamie County Jail for operating while intoxicated causing injury after a wrong-way crash on Interstate 41 around midnight.
According to the Kaukauna Police Department, law enforcement was notified of a wrong-way driver on 441 who got onto I-41 headed north in the southbound lanes. While officers from KPD were on their way to the interstate the man crashed into another vehicle, just south of Highway 55.
The man was taken to an area hospital for non-life-threatening injuries before being released and booked into jail.
A 27-year-old woman, her husband and their 1-year-old child were in the vehicle that was hit and were all transported to an area hospital.
The crash is under investigation.
