KAUKAUNA, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — A 12-year-old girl was struck by a vehicle as she was riding an electric scooter in Kaukauna.
It happened around 3:30 p.m. Tuesday at Catherine Street and Amanda Street.
When officers arrived on scene, they saw a 12-year-old girl who appeared to have injuries to her arm and shoulder.
After an investigation, it was determined that the girl was riding an electric scooter on the west side of Catherine Street, approaching Kwik Trip, and the striking vehicle was exiting Kwik Trip, attempting to go south on Catherine Street. As the vehicle exited the Kwik Trip parking lot, the driver did not see the girl on the sidewalk and struck her.
The girl was transported to hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
The incident remains under investigation.
