APPLETON, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Now’s the time to sign up to participate in a Northeast Wisconsin holiday tradition.
Organizers of the Downtown Appleton Christmas Parade are accepting applications for this year’s 54th edition.
“This year’s theme, Christmas in Toyland, celebrates the charm, enchantment, and joy of the season,” Corey Otis, City of Appleton Parades Committee chairperson, said in a news release. “We encourage applicants to design festive decorations, imaginative floats, and spirited performances that amaze and captivate the crowds on College.”
Application information can be found online. The deadline is Oct. 3.
The parade, which bills itself as the largest nighttime Christmas parade in the Midwest, is held each year on the Tuesday before Thanksgiving. This year’s date is Nov. 25.
