(LEARFIELD) – A wide receiver that transferred from Wisconsin to Notre Dame has been named a captain at his new school.
Will Pauling is one of six captains for the Notre Dame.
It’s quite the honor for Pauling as the Fighting Irish don’t often name new transfer players as captains, but the senior from Chicago has made his mark in South Bend during the offseason.
Pauling, an All-Big Ten selection in 2023, had a down year last season while dealing with inconsistent quarterback play, catching 42 passes for 407 yards and three touchdowns.
He expects to be an important piece for a Notre Dame team competing for a playoff berth.
