LUXEMBURG, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – The former St. Mary Parish rectory is on the move.
After the parish added on to the school and built a new rectory, the former rectory wasn’t needed, according to the Very Rev. Daniel Schuster.
The rectory, built in 1907, was purchased by a private party, and is being moved about 3.5 miles.
On Tuesday, the first stage of the move on Main Street started. It is expected to be completed Wednesday.
The school addition is complete. The new home, which will house priests and visitors to the National Shrine of Our Lady of Champion, is about 70% complete, and is expected to be completed in about two months, Rev. Schuster said.
