(WTAQ-WLUK) — A man wanted in connection with a series of burglaries and vehicle thefts in Shawano and Marathon counties is in custody.
Michael Thorson, 37, was arrested Sunday in Shawano County, according to investigators in Marathon County.
Details of the arrest have not been released.
The search for the ‘armed and dangerous’ Thorson began last week after a stolen vehicle believed to be operated by Thorson was recovered July 20 in the Stockbridge-Munsee area. Despite extensive efforts, law enforcement was unable to locate him.
It was reported on July 22, he was spotted by a witness near the Wilson Lake Park area outside Wittenberg.
