GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — More than 9,000 people took advantage of free rides home from bars during the NFL Draft in Green Bay.
The Brown County Tavern League says it provided 2,627 rides to 9,013 passengers during the event.
Rides were provided from Tavern League of Wisconsin member businesses to homes, rental homes and hotels.
The effort included 40 shuttle vans and 91 drivers who logged 2,048 hours on the road.
According to the tavern league, the Brown County Sheriff’s Office reported three arrests for operating while intoxicated, with the Green Bay Police Department reporting one during the dates of the draft. There were no alcohol-related fatalities, the tavern league says.
