FOND DU LAC, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – One suspect in a North Fond du Lac shooting was sentenced to five years in prison, while the other was convicted this week.
Jaysen Fix, 21, was sentenced Tuesday to five years in prison and five years of extended supervision after being convicted of first-degree recklessly endangering safety for the Sept. 4, 2023 shooting, court records show.
Noah Metcalf, 17, was convicted Wednesday for his role in the incident. Sentencing is scheduled for June 9.
The incident happened about 2 a.m. Sept. 4, when multiple shots were fired into a home in the 700 block of N. Michigan Ave.
According to the criminal complaint, two people were sitting in the living when they heard the shots, and the bullet entered the home. One woman was injured by the debris. Four bullet holes were found in the house.
Metcalf told police he was targeting his ex-girlfriend, who he believed would be at the house. Metcalf contacted Fix, who fired the shots, according to Metcalf, the complaint states.
Fix admitted to firing five shots at the home, according to the complaint.
