PAPILLION, NE (WTAQ-WLUK) — A man accused of abducting a pregnant teenager from Beaver Dam has waived extradition to Wisconsin.
Gary Day, 40, appeared in court in Nebraska Thursday. He was arrested last week at a truck stop near Omaha with 17-year-old Sophia Franklin, who was reported missing Feb. 3.
Day is the father of Franklin’s unborn child.
In Wisconsin, Day is charged with child abduction and child enticement.
Day also waived extradition to Arkansas, where he faces charges.
Day also faces misdemeanor charges in Nebraska.
He will remain jailed in Nebraska without bond.
Day is due back in court April 24.
