GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — A red carpet walk, drone show and concert are all coming to Green Bay during the NFL Draft festivities.
On Thursday, the NFL announced events taking place during the April 24-26 draft.
Day 1 kicks off with the NFL Draft Red Carpet inside Lambeau Field. It’s scheduled to begin at 4 p.m., and fans will be able to watch from the stands.
On the draft stage, a Wisconsin-based youth choir will sing “Lift Every Voice and Sing,” directed by Grammy award recipient Jeffrey Redding. Singer-songwriter Stephen Wilson Jr. will then sing the national anthem. Four Black Hawk helicopters from the Wisconsin Army National Guard will fly over Lambeau Field and the Draft Theater.
Green Bay Packers legends will join NFL commissioner Roger Goodell on stage to begin the draft.
Day 2 features 32 NFL legends and players from the 2000 draft class announcing selections to commemorate the class’ 25th anniversary. The day will also feature legends and players with ties to Wisconsin, including Lynn Swann, Jordy Nelson, Joe Thomas, Jonathan Taylor and Dante Hall.
The second day concludes with a lighted drone show.
Day 3 contains a lineup of local traditions and entertainment, including:
- Bike parade
Young fans can participate in the Packers training camp tradition by riding their bikes around the NFL Draft Experience before gates open. - NFL Farmer’s Market
Local vendors offering fans a taste of Wisconsin products. - Wisconsin Humane Society on-stage puppy adoptions
- Military enlistment ceremony
- Oneida Smoke Dancers
- University of Wisconsin Marching Band
- Polka band and dance group
- Cheese carving demonstration
- Packers legends
- Surprise celebrity guests
The final day concludes with a free concert in the Draft Theater. The NFL says it will announce the headliner in the coming days.
The NFL Draft Experience in Titletown and the area outside Lambeau Field will include high jump challenges, the 40-yard dash and NFL hall of fame exhibits. Star players and NFL legends will be available to meet fans. Fans can also see the Vince Lombardi Trophy and all 58 Super Bowl rings. Activities for kids include drills, skills challenges and football clinics.
Food vendors inside the draft campus will offer tastes of local food trucks and the traditional Wisconsin supper club experience.
The NFL Draft Experience will be open from noon-10 p.m. Thursday and Friday, and 9 a.m.-6 p.m. on Saturday.
To enter the draft campus, fans will need to register through the NFL’s website or NFL OnePass app.
