Brian Tornberg (Marinette Co. Jail)
MARINETTE, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — A Marinette County man was sentenced Wednesday to three years in prison for possessing child pornography.
Brian Tornberg, 52, of Porterfield, will also spend five years on extended supervision and be required to register as a sex offender.
Tornberg was convicted in January after pleading no contest to one count of possession of child pornography. He was initially charged with three counts, but two of the charges were dismissed as part of his no-contest plea.
The investigation into Tornberg began in December 2023 when the Marinette Police Department received a tip.
A warrant was obtained to search Tornberg’s electronic devices, and police said their analysis confirmed the presence of images of child pornography on a device belonging to Tornberg.
