(UW ATHLETICS) LIHUE, Kaua’i – The Wisconsin volleyball team capped off its trip to the Aloha state with another 3-1 (18-25, 25-21, 25-16, 25-19) victory over the University of Hawaii Wednesday evening at Kaua’i High School.
Similar to Tuesday’s series opener, the Badgers got off to a slow start against the Rainbow Wahine, but found its rhythm the next three sets to take the match.
Outside hitter Mimi Colyer totaled a match-high 12 kills, while middle blocker Carter Booth also reached double-figure kills with 10 on the night. Booth also added six blocks.
Fellow outside hitters Madison Quest and Grace Egan capped off the match with seven kills each.
All-American setter Charlie Fuerbringer recorded four aces in a 10-0 run to close out the third set.
Prior to the match, The Rainbow Wahine and Badgers held a joint clinic at Kaua’i High School. The clinic drew a sold-out crowd with 80 kids who took part in drills with the players from both teams.
Next up, the Badgers will host two spring matches in the April beginning with Marquette on Wednesday, April 16 at 7:30 p.m. at the UW Field House.
