GREEN BAY (WLUK) — Police arrested a knife-wielding suspect who fled a traffic stop in Green Bay and then threatened officers.
The “dangerous situation” happened in the early hours of March 21 in the city’s downtown area, according to the Green Bay Police Department.
It began when officers attempted to pull over a “reckless driver” who then fled the scene. A pursuit intervention technique was utilized to stop the suspect’s vehicle, but at that point, the suspect threatened officers with a knife.
Officers were able to handle and resolve the situation without any injuries in a very skillful manner.
The suspect was arrested without further incident for criminal charges including operating while intoxicated.
