GRAND CHUTE, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Two people died after their vehicle was struck by a semi-truck in a Grand Chute intersection.
At 10:45 a.m. Monday, emergency responders were called to the intersection of W. Wisconsin Avenue and N. McCarthy Road for a report of a two-vehicle crash.
Preliminary investigation indicates a semi-truck was going east on W. Wisconsin Avenue when it struck a passenger van.
When emergency responders arrived on scene, the driver and passenger of the vehicle were found to have life-threatening injuries. Both occupants were taken to a local hospital where they were later pronounced deceased.
Eastbound W. Wisconsin Avenue between N. McCarthy Road and N. Casaloma Drive is expected to remain closed for several hours while the investigation into the crash continues.
