TOWN OF LAMARTINE, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — An employee at a bar-and-grill in Fond du Lac County was arrested for allegedly stabbing a co-worker multiple times during an argument.
Just before 4 p.m. Friday, authorities received several 911 calls reporting a stabbing at Lori’s Bar and Grill, located on County Highway Y in the town of Lamartine. Sheriff’s deputies were informed patrons were holding the suspect down until police arrived.
Initial investigation indicates a “verbal dispute” between two male employees escalated into a “physical fight” that resulted in the victim sustaining “multiple puncture wounds from a knife.”
The suspect in the stabbing, a 31-year-old Fond du Lac man, was taken to the Fond du Lac County Jail. He is being held on charges of first-degree recklessly endangering safety, mayhem, substantial battery and disorderly conduct. He was on probation and parole supervision for battery and disorderly conduct at the time of the incident.
The victim was identified only as a man from the village of Oakfield. He was transported to a local hospital and treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
Officials say their investigation into the stabbing is ongoing and more charges could be coming.
