LAWRENCE, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — The two people pulled from a house fire have died.
The Lawrence Fire Department says one of the victims was pronounced dead at a local hospital. The second victim was taken to what firefighters called a specialty hospital and later died.
Their names were not released.
Firefighters were notified of the fire in the 2200 block of Mid Valley Drive just before 5 a.m. Wednesday. The first crews to arrive saw smoke and flames. Search and rescue teams went into the house, where they found the two victims.
The Brown County Fire Investigation Task Force and state fire marshal’s office are investigating how the fire started.
