GREEN BAY, WI (WLUK) — Green Bay women’s basketball ran their win streak to 19 games, and, in the process, became outright Horizon League conference regular season champions with their 68-63 win over Purdue Fort Wayne in overtime on Saturday in front of 3.531 fans at the Kress Center.
It’s the Phoenix’s 23rd regular season championship as they enter the conference tournament as the 1 seed.
Natalie McNeal had her 12th career double-double, scoring a game-high 27 points and a team-best 13 rebounds.
Jasmine Kondrakiewicz was the only other player in double figures with 10 for GB.
The Phoenix, who honored 7 seniors on senior day, scored the final 6 points of regulation to force overtime.
