ASHWAUBENON, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — From new renderings of the 2025 NFL Draft layout, to road closures and resident impacts, Ashwaubenon Village Manager Joel Gregozeski hit a wide variety of topics in a 30-minute presentation to the village board Tuesday evening.
Much of the information was reminder for many — like that six weeks of road closures will begin in about one month — starting with the portion of Oneida Street in front of Lambeau Field.
There was also newer information presented, like plans to prevent on-street parking on more streets than you see on a game day.
“So, we are looking at some issues as it relates to traffic flow and pedestrian movement,” said Gregozeski. “We want to make sure we provide some additional no parking situations for on-street parking.”
The plan is to not allow parking on either side of the street on Morris Avenue west of Holmgren Way, part of Shady Lane, all of Argonne St and parts of Marlee Lane, Orrie Lane and True Lane.
One side of the street will be restricted on Canterbury Road, April Lane, Valley View Road and part of Blue Ridge Drive.
Gregozeski also warned people will likely start seeing contractors in the area of the draft campus, installing additional cellular and security technology.
“The various cellular companies — such as Verizon, AT&T, Spectrum, T-Mobile — they’re all looking to expand their infrastructure in order to support the influx of additional fans and users on their systems,” said Gregozeski.
The village is also reiterating existing ordinances will be followed and strictly enforced when it comes to things like food trucks, direct sellers and advertising. Driveway RV camping is prohibited in the village.
Gregozeski says more information is also still coming on things like detours and wayfinding for impacted businesses.
The same presentation will be given again to the public March 6 at 6 p.m. at the Ashwaubenon Performing Arts Center.
