(WTAQ-WLUK) — The family of a missing, pregnant teen from southern Wisconsin shared new details as an Amber Alert continued in its second week.
Sophia Franklin, 16, was last seen at her home in Beaver Dam Feb. 2. She’s believed to be with 40-year-old Gary Day, the father of her unborn child.
On Wednesday, Franklin’s mother, Leah, shared a photo of her daughter which was taken the day before she disappeared.
Leah Franklin also shared this information:
- She is wearing glasses.
- She does not look pregnant right now.
- She has been dealing with hives on her arms, legs and even face.
- Her eye makes an involuntary movement when she chews.
- She has been struggling with morning sickness.
- She has been wearing a rose gold ring with a pink, heart shaped gem on her left hand.
“In short, Sophie needs to come home and continue with the medical care she has been receiving for herself and the baby,” Leah Franklin wrote.
Sophia Franklin is described as a 5-foot-9, weighing 186 pounds, with brown hair and blue eyes.
Day is described as a 5-foot-7, weighing 165 pounds, with blond hair and green eyes.
Police say they’re in a 2014 black Buick LaCrosse. While the vehicle initially had Arkansas license plates, it was seen Feb. 3 with Pennsylvania license plates KGW5186.
