DODGE COUNTY (WTAQ-WLUK) — The Amber Alert issued for a missing 16-year-old pregnant girl from Beaver Dam has been extended to Arkansas.
This is according to an update from the AMBER Alert program’s Facebook page.
Sophia Franklin has been missing since Sunday, February 2 at her home that evening.
The suspect, 40-year-old Gary F. Day, is wanted in connection to the teenager’s disappearance.
According to court records, Day is resident of Cabot, Arkansas, which is roughly 25 miles northeast of Little Rock.
Day was last seen on Monday, February 3 at Franklin’s residence, and is believed to be the father of her unborn child.
An arrest warrant was issued for Day on Tuesday, and he faces two counts of abduction of a child-taking and two charges of child enticement-cause mental/bodily harm.
According to an update from the Wisconsin Crime Alert Network, Day’s 2014 Black Buick LaCrosse has been seen with multiple license plates. It was first seen with an Arkansas license plate “BBR 20L.” It was last seen on surveillance footage Monday morning with a Pennsylvania license plate “KGW5186.”
