GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Misuse and a brief stretch of unseasonably warm temperatures have been unkind to Green Bay ice rinks.
On Friday, the Green Bay Parks, Recreation & Forestry Department provided updates for three ice rinks.
Officials say the Red Smith shelter and restroom will be closed this weekend and the main rink is unskateable “due to misuse.”
Astor’s rink is also unskateable because of warm temperatures.
But there is a bit of good news: the Colburn warming shelter will be open and staffed from 4-8 p.m. Friday and on Saturday and Sunday from noon to 8 p.m.
