DE PERE, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — The public is invited to offer feedback to the Wisconsin Department of Transportation on proposed improvements in De Pere’s downtown area.
A live, online public involvement meeting will be held Jan. 28 at 5 p.m. to discuss the WIS 32 project (Main Avenue and Reid Street), west of the Fox River between Eighth Street and the Claude Allouez Bridge.
Officials hope to review design refinements and progress since the last public meeting in October 2023, discuss upcoming project milestones and receive public feedback.
During the meeting, project engineers will share maps, displays and exhibits. A question, answer and comment period will follow.

WisDOT says the purpose of the WIS 32 project is to restore the quality of the existing deteriorated pavement and upgrade other roadway deficiencies. Work is scheduled for 2028, with utility construction and relocations in 2027 in advance of roadway improvements. Traffic impacts include roadway closures and detours.
If you have a business in the project area, or would like more information on the project, contact the project manager Josh Lang by phone at (920) 492-4141 or by email at Joshua.lang@dot.wi.gov.
