GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – Changes to the designs for a shelter and stage planned for Leicht Park are being considered by Green Bay.
The Parks Committee will review an item Wednesday to hire ISG to complete engineering bid documents for “alternate proposed revisions to the shelter/site and stage design at Leicht Memorial Park,” according to the agenda packet.
Leicht Park is on the west bank of the Fox River, just north of Main Street.
According to the proposal from ISG, the first two phases would be treating soil contamination on the site, and then building the park pavilion. The pavilion would include:
- A conditioned, approximately 3,400-square-foot concession building and pavilion
- Five (5) male, seven (7) female restroom, and two (2) family restroom
- An overlook deck extending over the pavilion
Work on the first two phases would start after the NFL Draft in April, with a completion date by fall 2026.
The design contract under consideration would be for those two phases at a cost of about $500,000. The actual project would cost about $3.6 million.
Eventually, the third phase would include construction of the stage.
The Parks Committee meets at 5 p.m. in room 310 of Green Bay City Hall, 100 N. Jefferson St.
