APPLETON, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Thanks to the quick actions of Appleton bank employees, the suspect in a robbery was arrested within minutes.
Around 10:40 a.m. Tuesday, officers resounded to reports of a robbery in the 100 block of South State Street.
Witnesses told police a man entered the bank, demanded money and ran away with an undisclosed amount of cash.
The bank employees were able to provide police with crucial details about the suspect and his vehicle and he was apprehended within minutes at 10:59 a.m.
The stolen money was recovered and no one was hurt.
The 63-year-old suspect is expected to face charges of robbery.
Formal charges have not been filed.
