WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Congressman Derrick Van Orden (WI-03) released the following statement on retaining his positions on the House Agriculture Committee and the House Veterans’ Affairs Committee for the 119th Congress:
“As long as I remain in Congress, I will continue to serve on the House Agriculture Committee. Farmers are the backbone of Wisconsin and our nation at large, and I am committed to ensuring they have the resources they need to keep us fed and fueled. Throughout the 118th, I made it a priority to be in constant communication with our Third District farmers and agricultural producers, and I look forward to continuing our work together to advance legislation that reflects their priorities and secures the needs of American agriculture for generations to come.
“As the longest serving enlisted servicemember elected to Congress, I am also proud to continue serving on the House Veterans’ Affairs Committee. We must continue working towards effective solutions that ease the transition from active-duty to veteran and ensure our veterans have the care and support they deserve after their time of service. Our vets have bravely served our country, and I will continue to be an unwavering voice for them in the 119th Congress.”
