(WNFL) – The Green Bay Packers lost their regular season finale 24-22 to the Chicago Bears at Lambeau Field in Green Bay on Sunday on a field goal by Cairo Santos with 2 seconds left.
The loss leaves the Packers with an 11-6 regular season and sends them into the playoffs against the Philadelphia Eagles on a 2-game losing streak.
Packers coach Matt LaFleur said it was a sloppy game with too many miscues.
He said they have to put this game behind them quickly.
LaFleur talked about getting his team turned around for the playoffs.
LaFleur addressed the notion that having a playoff berth locked up led to lethargic play by his squad.
The Packers will play at Philadelphia this Sunday at 3:30 in a Wild Card playoff game. The Eagles are the No. 2 seed in the NFC while the Packers are the No. 7 seed.
To the lockerroom: Packers quarterback Jordan Love didn’t play for much of the game after hurting his elbow in the second quarter. Love explained what happened.
Love talked about the loss to the Bears.
He said the Packers are upset with their performance.
Last year the Packers won their last three games to have momentum heading into the playoffs. Love said that with a 2-game losing streak, this year it’s a different story.
The safety dance: Packers safety Xavier McKinney said that it’s not a matter of other teams beating the Packers as much as it is the Packers beating themselves.
McKinney talked about where the Packers are at right now.
