GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Green Bay police are asking the driver involved in a hit and run crash that injured five people and damaged five vehicles to come forward.
It happened in the 1700 block of Main Street just before 5 p.m. Saturday.
Witnesses told police that a SUV was traveling at a high rate of speed. The driver was later seen running away from the scene.
Five people had reported sustained injuries and received medical treatment. Police located five vehicles that were damaged, some of which had been struck while parked in a nearby lot.
Police tried searching for the driver on the night of the crash but were unable to locate them.
The driver is believed to be the registered owner of the vehicle, who police say they will not be identifying at this time.
Authorities ask for the driver to come forward.
