(WNFL/LEARFIELD) – The Green Bay Packers continue their preparations today for Monday night’s game against the New Orleans Saints at Lambeau Field.
Even though the Packers are heavy favorites and it may be possible for some to take this game lightly, Packers coach Matt LaFleur said there is still a lot to play for.
LaFleur talked about going up against the Saints defense.
And about the possibility of facing rookie quarterback Spencer Rattler who will start for the Saints if Derek Carr is still hurting.
An elite level? Packers coach Matt LaFleur said earlier this week that Packers quarterback Jordan Love is playing at an elite level. Love talked about how that compares to how he was playing last year.
Love said that earlier this year the knee and groin injuries early in the season affected his play.
Weather forecast: Snow flurries or snow showers are possible at game time Monday at Lambeau Field. Temperatures should be around 30 with the wind from the north from 5 to 10 miles per hour.
Odds: The Packers are favored by 14 to 14.5 points, depending on what source one refers to.
What others are saying: Bill Huber writing for Sports Illustrated says that Jaire Alexander may be ready to go Monday night.
And more from Sports Illustrated. Aaron Rodgers and Mike McCarthy always seem to be the topic of the day whenever it’s slow at Lambeau Field. So Sports Illustrated has a story on Mike McCarthy talking about Aarons Rodgers’ off-field stuff never being a distraction.
And The Sporting News is looking ahead to next season for the Packers already. They say the Packers should bring in Khalil Mack.
