(WNFL) – Michigan Tech opened the second half with a 27-15 scoring run to wipe out a 12-point halftime lead that the Green Bay Phoenix had built.
From there, it was back-and-forth with Green Bay losing 72-70 Wednesday afternoon in Green Bay.
Marcus Tomashek hit a pair of free throws for Michigan Tech with 9 seconds left to provide the winning margin.
Green Bay was led by Jeremiah Johnson and Marcus Hall who scored 21 and 17 points, respectively. Johnson also had 15 rebounds.
Michigan Tech was led by Tomashek with 30 points and 8 rebounds.
The Phoenix are now 2-11.
