(LEARFIELD) – The Green Bay Packers probably wouldn’t be sitting at 9-3 at this point in the season or at least not seem like a team having fun winning if it weren’t for a pair of veterans that the Packers added in the off-season.
Safety Xavier McKinney and running back Josh Jacobs have added a positive veteran presence in the lockerroom.
Packers coach Matt LaFleur talked about the vibe around the lockerroom.
LaFleur talked about how McKinney and Jacobs have emerged as leaders in their first season in Green Bay.
LaFleur thinks their leadership goes beyond he field.
Don’t wear yourself out: Jacobs has carried the ball the bulk of the time this season for the Packers and that has led to coaches suggesting they would like to see Jacobs cut back on his reps in practice, but he won’t do it.
Jacobs talked about why he feels it’s necessary to keep going.
Injuries: Two Packers players did not participate in Tuesday’s practice – Corey Ballentine and Edgerrin Cooper. Cornerback Jaire Alexander participated on a limited basis.
LaFleur talked about Alexander’s availability for Thursday’s game.
