(ST NORBERT COMMUNICATIONS) DE PERE – St. Norbert College fell to its second defeat of the weekend at the Cardinal/Panther Classic against Endicott College, dropping the third-place contest 3-0 at Stafford Ice Arena.
The Green Knights (8-2) were coming off a heartbreaking overtime loss to No. 6 Plattsburgh State University on Saturday and would again fall at the tournament after not being able to find the back of the net against the Gulls.
Endicott took an early lead in the first period, scoring at 11:26. The Gulls would then find two more goals in the second period, with the third being scored with less than a minute left in the period.
St. Norbert outshot Endicott 26-17. Lisa LaRoche led the team in shots with five, while Emma Stebbeds had three.
Keira Markell made nine stops in two periods of play, while Ashley Ommen made five in the third period.
The Green Knights went 0-for-3 on the power play, while Endicott went 0-for-1.
