Marquette is coming off a tournament win at the Battle on the Banks, a two-game multi-team event hosted by Rutgers. The Golden Eagles beat Rutgers in game one on Friday in a 59-57 thriller before beating Maryland Eastern Shore in a neutral site game Saturday, 74-48.
Skylar Forbes earned Most Valuable Player honors after averaging Forbes averaged 20.5 points and 7.0 rebounds over the two games including a career-high 23 points against Rutgers. Halle Vice earned a spot on the all-tournament team after a career-high 15 points against Maryland Eastern Shore.
Following Tuesday’s game, Marquette stays home to host Illinois State on Sunday at 2 p.m. CT.
